Exciting Times at Robert Owen

 In Business Loans

We are going through a period of great change at Robert Owen. We are growing as a company, and as a result, we are moving into a larger premises and expanding our team.

Our move to the Pryce Jones building, just down the road, has been long anticipated. We have outgrown our premises on the Vastre Estate, and are in need of more space to launch our start-up business enterprise hub with Indy Cube. We thank our clients and many other stakeholders for their continued support.

With the expansion, we are searching for two new people to join our team, a finance administrator and an enterprise hub manager.

The finance administrator will work primarily on the Start Up Business Loans scheme, This role will ideally suit an experienced Administrator, or a recent graduate (or equivalent) with some previous office experience who is looking for a career role. More details of this job can be found here:

Finance Administrator

More details of the Hub Manager role will be available soon. Watch this space!

On the 1st of June IndyCube, in association with ROCBF, are launching their new membership programme, this will be an exciting networking event and great chance to take a look at our new premises.

In other news, in march we attended the annual Responsible Finance conference at the Marriot in Cardiff. Responsible Finance is the governing body of the community development finance sector in which we operate. Over two days we celebrated the achievements of the sector, over some great food and plenty of drinks! During the awards ceremony we narrowly missed out on our second award in two years, but none the less we were delighted to be nominated.

On the second day we enjoyed addresses from some distinguished speakers from throughout the sector and beyond, including our very own intern Joshua Rees, giving a refreshing perspective on the future of financial services in the UK.
