Owning your own home is expensive and can be a worry, especially when urgent repairs are needed.

If you are on a low income and want help to decide what work is really needed and how you can make these affordable then get in touch.

  • Firstly we could provide you with a free house repair survey from a qualified professional you can trust. Powys County Council is working with us and will send out one of their surveyors at no charge to help you decide exactly what work is really needed.

  • Our energy advice experts can also show you where repairs and improvements will save you money on your heating and fuel bills.

  • You may also be eligible for a grant to help pay for repairs. Our money advisor will find out for you and help you to apply.

  • Not sure if you can afford the work? We can help you to budget the costs and show you where further savings can be made. You can also apply for one of our affordable Loans to pay for some or all of the work.

  • And if you want to check that any finished building work has been completed to a high standard, then we can arrange for your Powys County Council surveyor to come back for a free follow-up survey.

  • If you are over 60 years old then additional advice and support is available through Care & Repair in Powys. You can contact them on 01597 824040 to arrange for a home visit.
